Funcom Announces Dune: Awakening for Early 2025

Funcom will release Dune: Awakening, an Open World Survival MMO, in early 2025, with console versions arriving later. Revealed at Gamescom, the game lets players influence the future of Arrakis in an alternate timeline where Paul Atreides never existed.
Set on the most dangerous planet in the universe Dune: Awakening will challenge players toā¦
- SURVIVE the scorching desert and colossal sandworms by learning the ways of the Fremen.
- EXPAND your influence through combat, spice flow, building and upgrading bases, crafting vehicles, and trade. Develop your character by walking the path of the Mentat, Trooper, Planetologist, Swordmaster or Bene Gesserit.
- CONTROL the spice and cling to power as guild intrigue and warfare rage. Join a guild and align with House Harkonnen or Atreides, and clash for the precious spice in dynamic guild versus guild battles involving a range of vehicles, tech, and specialized combatants.
Dune: Awakening will launch Early 2025 on PC, and arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at a later date. Wishlist the game on PC and consoles, and sign up on the official website for a chance to enter the closed Beta.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Launches September 9

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on September 9 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and is now available for pre-order. The new āAngels of Deathā trailer features Ultramarines Titus, Chairon, and Gadriel as they fight to defend humanity.
The game includes a co-op campaign with these three playable characters, as well as customizable Space Marines in PvE and PvP modes. The Gold and Ultra Editions include the Space Marine 2 Season Pass, which adds additional cosmetics inspired by the Space Marine Chapters of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Free updates after launch will introduce new missions, enemies, and weapons.

New Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Trailer Released

Warner Bros. Games has released a gameplay walkthrough trailer for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, highlighting features like PvP mode, customization, skill trees, broom upgrades, and Career Mode. Players can take on roles such as Chaser, Keeper, Beater, or Seeker and progress from the Weasley Burrow to the Quidditch World Cup, facing characters like Cedric Diggory and Draco Malfoy.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be released on September 3, 2024, for digital editions on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The Physical Deluxe Edition will follow on November 8, 2024, with a Nintendo Switch version expected during the holiday season.

The PokĆ©mon Company International announces the Scarlet & VioletāSurging Sparks expansion, arriving November 8, 2024. This set features Stellar Tera PokĆ©mon ex, including Pikachu ex and Alolan Exeggutor ex, plus eight ACE SPEC cards and other rare finds.
Available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and special collections, preorders are open at PokƩmon Center. Players can try the expansion early at Prerelease tournaments from October 26, 2024, and digitally on PokƩmon TCG Live from November 7, 2024.
Special promo cards from PokƩmon Horizons: The Series will be available throughout late 2024 and early 2025 at participating retailers and PokƩmon Center in the U.K.

Destiny 2: Echoes Act 3 Launches with New Exotic Weapons and Updated Artifact Mods

Bungie has launched Act 3 of Destiny 2: Echoes, concluding the story of the first Echo and featuring a showdown with the Conductor. In this Act, players explore Nessus and take on a new Exotic mission, Encore, which rewards the new Void Auto Rifle, Choir of One.
The update introduces two new Vex-inspired weapons: the Solar Machine Gun Speleologist and the Void Trace Rifle Chronophage. The Solar Grenade Launcher Martyr’s Retribution, previously featured in Season of Dawn, also returns.
Artifact mods have been updated with new perks for Auto Rifles, enhancing options for dealing with Overload Champions, improving damage resistance, and increasing weapon damage.
